Little grebe (Tachybaptus ruficollis)

Smallest grebe, often confused with ducklings. Breeds on overgrown banks often on small inland waters. Very shy, likes to hide in the riparian vegetation. In plumage dark brown and beige without black-white contrasts. Round shape, straight beak.
