Common Pochard (Aythya ferina)

Diving duck with predominantly gray body, drake in breeding plumage with reddish-brown head. Occurrence in Europe, including Western and Central Siberia. Breeds on food-rich, calm waters, outside the breeding season increasingly found on artificial lakes.
