Black-necked Grebe (Podiceps nigricollis)

Migratory bird, little grebe with streamlined body, clumsy on land. Flies mostly flat over the water, inhabited shallow, vegetation-rich inland waters and shallow bays. Breeding population in Germany, only slightly more than 1000 couples (near threatened).
