Common Buzzard (Buteo buteo)

Our most common raptor, belonging to the family Accipitridae. Medium size, slightly clumsy acting with a short neck and big round head. The tail looks rounded with spreading. Color variable from almost white to black / brown. Hunts over open country, usually nests on forest edges. Highseat. Food: Mainly voles, shrews, earthworms, reptiles, young rabbits, insects, rarely birds .
