Oystercatcher (Haematopus ostralegus)

Shorebird with distinctive black and white plumage, beak and legs are red. Occurrence frequently on coasts, in watts, on wet meadows or pastures. Found mainly in groups. Food: Digging clams from soft silt , eats also snails, crabs, annelids and insects.
